Generally the convention on Boer War is brown and that has the added advantage of being suitable for Afghanistan and for Sudan. Besides, your initial Boer basing looks great!lewisgunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935143236897047636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105866628833354584.post-46053295403139546372017-01-28T06:37:20.338-08:002017-01-28T06:37:20.338-08:00Thanks Phil! Thanks Phil!Strykerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258922461691204362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105866628833354584.post-61505976030425730892017-01-28T02:18:03.063-08:002017-01-28T02:18:03.063-08:00Cool, nice job...and I love this uniform!Cool, nice job...and I love this uniform!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105866628833354584.post-83832544241944778492017-01-23T00:07:06.242-08:002017-01-23T00:07:06.242-08:00Thats interesting what you say about using sand co...Thats interesting what you say about using sand colour for the base. This was my initial thought however after searching for images of the veldt it seemed that this was quite green? Perhaps this is only the case in the winter? I will probably have a limited number of cavalry but as this is a small scale project I won't be having mounted infantry. I do have a couple of Pom-poems for the Boers!Strykerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258922461691204362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105866628833354584.post-69960118423271107402017-01-22T12:06:59.925-08:002017-01-22T12:06:59.925-08:00Very nice. The Boers had more artillery than the British early in the war. This seems achievable even at my ponderously slow painting output.Strykerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258922461691204362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7105866628833354584.post-60126315369879774722017-01-21T14:21:43.580-08:002017-01-21T14:21:43.580-08:00He looks very fine.
